This policy covers how HDRlog Ltd. treats information about you that it collects and receives, including information related to your use of HDRlog Ltd. products and services. This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that HDRlog Ltd. does not own or control, or to persons that HDRlog Ltd. does not employ or manage. Personal information

HDRlog Ltd. collects personal information when you visit the HDRlog Ltd. websites, subscribe to a mailing list, request news and product information, participate in contests, answer surveys or purchase HDRlog Ltd. products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable such as your name, address, e-mail address or telephone number, and is not otherwise publicly available. We use the personal information you voluntarily provide to register the software you download, to send the information you have requested and to fulfill orders.

When you purchase or download commercial subscriptions from HDRlog Ltd. we may add you to one or more of our mailing lists and we may occasionally contact you by e-mail. When you participate in a contest or survey, we may ask you for your name, address and e-mail address so that we can administer the contest and notify the winners.

Use of Personal Information

HDRlog Ltd. does not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We may disclose personal information when we believe it is necessary to comply with the law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of HDRlog Ltd, our users or others. This may include exchanging information with other companies and organizations for purposes of fraud protection and credit risk management.

Aggregate Information

HDRlog Ltd. also collects aggregated tracking data when users visit our websites. We analyze visitors’ use of our sites by tracking information such as pages viewed, traffic flows, search terms and clicks. We use this information to improve our websites. We may also share this anonymous traffic and demographic information in aggregate form with advertisers and other business partners. We do not share any information with anyone who can identify an individual user.

Media

If you are a registered user and download images from the website, we advise you to avoid downloading images containing EXIF GPS coordinate data. Visitors to your website can download and extract location data from these images.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles…). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other site.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, integrate third-party tracking tools, track your interactions with such embedded content if you have an account connected to their website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you will be asked to save your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience only, so that you do not have to enter this information if you make another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.

If you have an account and log in to this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be automatically deleted when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will create a number of cookies to save your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a login cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year. If you check the “Remember me” box, your cookie will be stored for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

When you edit or post a publication, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It simply indicates the identifier of the publication you have just modified. It expires after one day.

IP addresses

HDRlog Ltd. websites also automatically capture IP addresses. We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movements, ensure the security of your interaction with the HDRlog Ltd. website and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Security

HDRlog Ltd. websites have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All personal and aggregate information is stored on a server. This server is located in a locked and guarded location and only authorized HDRlog Ltd. personnel have access to the database containing usernames and passwords.

Notification of changes

If we change our privacy policy, we will post an updated privacy policy. If we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by e-mail. Users will have the opportunity to opt out of any further use of their personal information. Choice/Opt-Out. The HDRlog Ltd. website offers users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us and our partners whenever we collect personal information.

Use and transmission of your personal data

How long do you keep your data?

If you leave a comment, it and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows subsequent comments to be automatically recognized and approved instead of being left in the moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if possible), we also store the personal data indicated in their profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of their username). The site managers can also consult and modify this information.

The rights you have over your data

If you have an account or if you have left comments on the site, you can request to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including the data you have provided us with. You may also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.

Transmission of your personal data

Visitors’ comments can be verified through an automated service for detecting unwanted comments.
